Klaus Werner Johannis (rumänisch Iohannis) (* 13. Juni 1959 in Hermannstadt, Rumänische Volksrepublik) ist ein rumänischer Politiker. Er war von Dezember 2014 bis Februar 2025 Präsident Rumäniens. Johannis, der der rumäniendeutschen Volksgruppe der Siebenbürger Sachsen angehört, war ab dem Jahr 2000 Bürgermeister von Hermannstadt. Im Juni 2014 wurde er Vorsitzender der Nationalliberalen Partei (PNL) und gewann die Präsidentschaftswahl 2014. Bei der Präsidentschaftswahl 2019 wurde er erneut in das Amt gewählt. Er war der bisher einzige rumänische Präsident, der einer nationalen Minderheit des Landes angehört, und somit der bisher einzige Präsident aus der deutschen Minderheit.
