Er verfasste mehrere Bücher zum Themenkomplex des Zionismus, des Nahostkonflikts und des Gedenkens an den Holocaust. In Deutschland wurde er 2000 mit seinem Buch Die Holocaust-Industrie bekannt, das eine Debatte über die Erinnerungskultur zu diesem Ereignis, über seine Singularität und Entschädigungen für NS-Zwangsarbeiter verstärkte.
