Padmasambhava (Sanskrit पद्मसम्भव, zu Deutsch: „Lotosgeborener“; auch: Guru Rinpoche, Guru Padma, Padina Sambhava oder Padmakara; 8. Jh. n. Chr. bis 9. Jh. n. Chr.) gilt als Begründer des Buddhismus in Tibet zur Zeit des Königs Thrisong Detsen (756 bis 796) in Tibet.
