Parmenides von Elea (griechisch Παρμενίδης Parmenídēs; fl. im späten 6. bzw. frühen 5. Jahrhundert v. Chr.) war einer derjenigen griechischen Philosophen, für die Hermann Diels die Bezeichnung Vorsokratiker prägte. Er lebte in Elea, einer von Griechen gegründeten Stadt in Süditalien, und gilt als ein Hauptvertreter der eleatischen Schule.
