Kawabata Yasunari (japanisch 川端 康成, Kawabata Yasunari; * 11. Juni 1899 in Osaka; † 16. April 1972 in Zushi) war ein japanischer Schriftsteller und Literaturnobelpreisträger 1968. Von dem Preisgeld verleiht seit 1974 die Kawabata-Gedenk-Stiftung (川端康成記念会, Kawabata-Yasunari-Kinenkai) den Kawabata-Yasunari-Literaturpreis.
