Thomas Edward Lawrence, CB, DSO (* 16. August 1888 in Tremadog, Wales; † 19. Mai 1935 in Clouds Hill, England), bekannt als Lawrence von Arabien, war ein britischer Offizier, Archäologe, Geheimagent und Schriftsteller. Bekannt wurde Lawrence vor allem durch seine Beteiligung an dem von den Briten forcierten Aufstand der Araber gegen das Osmanische Reich während des Ersten Weltkrieges.
