Percy Bysshe Shelley [ˈpɜːsi bɪʃ ˈʃɛli] (* 4. August 1792 in Field Place, Sussex; † 8. Juli 1822 im Meer bei Viareggio in der italienischen Region Toskana) war ein britischer Schriftsteller der englischen Romantik. Nachdem er bereits im Alter von 29 Jahren infolge eines Segelunfalls gestorben war, wurde sein literarischer Nachlass von seiner zweiten Frau, der Schriftstellerin Mary Shelley, verwaltet.
